A few years ago, I misplaced my point & shoot digital camera, and purchased a replacement. We subsequently found the original, and it changed our snapshot process completely!
Initially on trips, we took few photos, as it seemed that every time a photo opportunity was presented, the other had the camera. By having two cameras, this difficulty is prevented, and each of us can snap as many photos as we wish. On our past few trips, we have taken hundreds of photos, where previously we might have taken a few dozen.
Another technique we have become in the habit of using is to exchange photos with our travelling companions. This not only lets us view the trip from their point of view, it also gives us great memories of our time together.
